Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) – a leader in the production of combat-proven small arms for governments, armies and law enforcement agencies around the world – will showcase a complete solution for light weapons for the military, special ops and law enforcement – at Expodefensa Colombia. The company will present its Assault Rifles including the X95, the TAVOR and ACE 5.56 families, and the NEGEV family of Light Machine Guns (LMGs) – including its newest model, the NEGEV NG7, as well as the revolutionary eLog Small Arms Management & Control solution.
The NEGEV NG7 – the newest in the company’s NEGEV LMG family – includes a semi-automatic firing mode that enables accurate fire in combat situations, including ambush, Close Quarter Battle (CQB), and when shooting via telescope. The NEGEV NG7 shares almost 80% of its components with the smaller NEGEV 5.56mm caliber – IWI’s exceptionally successful and reliable LMG – which is deployed in dozens of countries around the world including Israel.
eLog Small Arms Management & Control solution is a revolutionary concept for digitizing the performance of every weapon system. It offers precise weapon information, enabling superior small arms inventory and maintenance management at all levels. The eLog will be demonstrated at the company’s booth.
The X95 – which can be used as an Assault Rifle, Carbine or Sub-Machine Gun (SMG) – was created to deal with modern terror threats, as well as urban and open area combat. all in one mission, the X95 is the standard Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Assault Rifle and combat-proven by many other armed forces around the world. The X95 complies with the most stringent NATO standards for small arms. Incorporating advanced technology that allows the conversion from 5.56mm caliber to 9mm 4.45mm calibers and vice versa, soldiers can use the same weapon platform for a wide array of scenarios, thus saving training time and spare parts, and reducing overall costs.
Also to be displayed at IWI’s booth is the TAVOR 5.56mm family of Assault Rifles – versatile, innovative, and technologically advanced weapons that have been extensively proven on the battlefield, performing with precision and reliability, and meeting the needs of human ergonomics. The TAVOR family was also developed in close cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), based on lessons learned from actual combat. The TAVOR has a bull pup configuration, a barrel length and weapon size that cover all soldier’s fighting ranges – from 500 meters to indoor operations, fighting from vehicles, urban areas, etc.
IWI will also showcase its ACE family of 5.56mm and 7.62mm caliber Assault Rifles, which are based on the exceptionally reliable mechanism of the very successful GALIL assault rifle. Blending enhanced human engineering and ergonomics with the demands of the modern battlefield – and providing both automatic and semi-automatic fire modes – the ACE has been extensively battle-proven under the harshest conditions, worldwide.
A range of additional firearms will be displayed at IWI’s booth, including the DAN .308 Colt-Action Sniper Rifle, the 9mm UZI SMG (Sub-Machine Gun) family including the recently introduced – UZI PRO, and the JERICHO pistol family.
